DIY: Peppa Pig Party

DIY: Peppa Pig Party

A crafty “arty party” for littles featuring Peppa Pig and her brother George too!

It’s so fun when littles have a “favorite!'“ When my friend Osh asked her soon to be 4 year-old daughter what type of a birthday party she’d like, Ami knew right away without any hesitation! Peppa Pig, and her brother George too!

Ami is a kindred spirit. She loves arts and crafts, and it was so fun planning a party for her special day.

I thought it would be sweet for each of her friends to have a Peppa or George to play with and keep next to their hearts, so I handmade felt necklaces that the littles could string with pony and paper beads, and fabric flowers too.

And of course, Peppa needs a cozy home (a little bayit in Hebrew), so we made mixed media Peppa houses with tissue paper, fabric scraps, pom poms, wooden beads, rhinestones and puffy stickers of Peppa and all her friends.

Peppa’s house is a process art activity. There isn’t a right or wrong way to make it. Just use the materials in a way that makes you feel happy.

It can be challenging to have a party right now, and we wanted all the guests (and their grown-ups) to feel safe, so rather than spreading the materials on a table like at our Witches and Broomstick Arty Party, we decided to package both crafts up in adorable kits for Ami and all her friends.

This way, the kits could be spaced about the room as needed, and littles have everything they need right in front of them, so they can happily and safely create with their very own materials. Craft kits are also a wonderful option for zoom parties or workshops where everyone joins in online to complete the crafts together as a group.

I love watching the kids’ faces when they receive their craft kits too! I think it makes all the guests feel very special, like they’re getting a present!

When littles are finished with the two projects, the completed crafts go back into the kit for the friends to take home, so they serve as the sweetest party favor too!

Peppa Pig is such a cute party idea! There are even Jewish values that can be found in celebrating Peppa, like friendship, family and love - in Hebrew, chaverut - friendship, mishpacha - family, ahavah - love, think a sweet theme for Valentine’s Day or even the Jewish Day of Love, Tu B’Av.

Do you have a little who would love a party? This one was such a joy to create. If you live in Central Florida and have a little creative who would like an arty party or if you are an adult that would like to host a craft party or workshop, please send me an email! ❤️
